What no more events up north!!?

Hi. I have heard on my grapevine that the two main events on Michelles field are in doubt for 2009. I hope this is not true, Sark needs these events and some how they must go on. Prehaps some one can tell us what is needed, is it sponsership? Can fund raising save the day? Can the government back the events? Any answers out there. It is such a shame that small groups start up some amazing events and they are just left to fade away. I happen to be involved in an event in September 2009 and we had hoped to have a good number of folks on the island for the weekend of the 12th , the date i thought the show was. That's just me who else was making plans around the show date. these weekends do attract visitors and should be supported. What can we do?
