Default Sark Webcams

How fantastic it was to see that another webcam has been added on this website. To be able to see the Collinette Crossroads from the top of Kristina's Bistro is great. May I suggest that if more webcams are planned then maybe one of the Avenue showing how many shops Sark actually has.

Being of limited brain, how can I view from Kristinas' roof?
A list of instructions for the disfunctional elderly enthusiasts would be gratefully accepted.
Many thanks
Dave

That's not too complicated:

Go to the menu under the header-picture

A click on "La Collinette Webcam" and there you are

Smile Webcams

It is really good to see what is going in Sark but without being too intrusive. The one above Christina's Bistro is very good and has a good spread. I feel that the one at Maseline Harbour would be better if it were positioned to show more of the quay and where people are waiting to board. Either that or a wide angle lens.
Good to see more and more people are using the website.

I don't think that there should be more, are many photos of Sark about and a camera is very intusive to the people being watched Having spent many hours on the top of the hill waiting with a horse and carraige I don't like the thought of being watched.

Hi Deana, I am sorry that you feel that the webcams are intrusive for you whilst you are waiting at the top of the hill, but I can also appreciate that you feel like someone is spying on you. I can assure you that I have yet to identify any individual person and that I do not constantly watch the webcam for long periods of time. I usually check it out a couple of times a week if I have a few minutes spare whilst checking my emails. The things I notice and comment to myself on are usually along the lines of - it looks very busy, I see that the bunting is out, it is raining in Sark as well as where I live in North Yorkshire, oooh look sunshine or I wonder if the sunny weather means Kristina at Le Petite Poule is busy?

um, yes, but sometimes the carraige drivers get "court short" and have nobody to watch their horse so as I have done, waited till the coast is clear and ran behind the hedge while keeping a eye on the horse, the last thing you want to see is a web cam!

Oh dear ... that's done it! I will now try and stop myself from looking for a driverless horse and carriage and then chuckling to myself as I will know what you are upto! Anyway back to being serious, being caught short is not very pleasant. I hope the season brings you lots of visitors with deep pockets and long arms who want to enjoy Sark by carriage.

Deana nice to see you write in to simplysark. However the web cam is slightly out of focus and the Carriage Drivers do not seem to mind it. I think it is great as we are now able to check how busy things are before we go out, and I can tell the girls off if they leave their horses, we now use Petit Poule toilets saves on the scratches from the brambles.

I think it's great that there are a few webcams as people can see different aspects of Sark however I'm glad there isn't an overload of them as that would be intrusive to the people on Sark.
