Sark Celebration of the Sea

The Simplysark Team would like to Thank everyone very much for helping make this years Celebration of the Sea such a great success. First of all I would like to say a huge Thank You to out Sponsors without You, there would have been no event this year !!! Mrs Esther Perre'e for being a sport and firing the cannon and Rev Graham Leworthy for opening the event. Barry Johnson and all the Bands ( Trim Rig and a Doxy, Bebe and Paulo, Big Sheep, Mickey Doyle. Noel Thompson, Deuce, Simon Friend, Paisley and the Devottees) the Artists and Performers Dave Lucas and Jesters Jamie and Daniel. Thank You Gary Thompson who as always gives Simplysark so much support and encouragement (and every crazy idea Michelle comes up with!). As well as Mini's cafe, Andy from La Moinerie, Kiz, Elliot and Barney the Reggae Fish Shack, The French Mademoiselles for their Crepe stall, and Paul from Hugo's. Dave and Colin for their help in sorting the bins and water and trailer and tressels and everything else. PJ, Simon and Norwyn for the Electrics, Harry and Ray for Marquees and extra help. Thank you Gate people Hazel, Susan and Charles who without we would not make any money. The Bar staff who are great and just kept going all day and night Steve, Shakey, Danny, Rob, Simon, Sue, Sheila and Cookey. John and Simon for lighting, Darren Bett’s for filming most of the event.Special thanks to Liz, Camille, Nathan. Emma and Pete for just being there! A huge thanks for the people who donated Trophy’s, Prizes for Raffle and Auction (Avenue Cycles, Elizabeth Perre'e, Kevin Delaney, Rueban from Gaudions, Stan Brouards. Bucktrouts, Stumbles and Reg Guille. Mrs T for arranging the license. And our neighbour for being such good Sports and remembering they were young once! Thank You so much to the people who bid on the Auction or bought the Raffle tickets Your Support is wonderful and makes a world of difference. And a special thanks to the people who paid to get in a big Thank You! To the people who sneaked in without paying shame on you!! this can be rectified by sending donations to Simplysark, Le Grand Fort, Sark it's never to late! Oh nearly forgot! It is a pleasure to inform you the Sark Celebration of the Sea will take place on Sat 11th September 2010; we look forward to seeing you all there!
